Out of Africa....(Uganda)

Safari inspiration from the Pearl of Africa.....

Lucy..........

Dream away with me and let the magical beauty of Mother Africa and the spirit of a safari capture your soul through this favorite disney song of mine...Enjoy :-))))

spent a couple of nights here at the Paraa Safari lodge.

We spend so much time indoors in winter that one needs a home in which they feel inspired.
I’m the kind of person that would decorate my house every different season of the year if i had a chance to. Unfortunately for me this rarely happens .... there is always something more important to do ...

I am therefore usually left to dream, dream & dream... i have to say though, once in a while i get to realise these dreams ...

One of the decor styles i have forever been in love with is the Safari Colonial decor style .
To me it represents the afroeuro essence ... A number of european accents combined with an african touch giving it all an exotic elegance ...

what better place would you pick your inspirations than a safari lodge in Africa?

spent a day here at the Chobe Safari Lodge.

On my last trip to Uganda i took hubby on a tour of one of the biggest National parks in the country .. The Murchisonfalls National park in the Northwest, & while there, we stayed a couple of nights at the Paraa Safari lodge. The safari décor of the lodge still reflects the bygone era of early explorers, enshrined with a modern touch. The luxurious pool overlooks the winding River Nile below, which was the setting for the classic Hollywood movie "The African Queen" (starring Katharine Hepburn and Humphrey Bogart). We later on spent a day at the Chobe Safari Lodge before heading back to Kampala.
The Chobe Safari Lodge is located in the Murchison Falls National Park, this Five Star lodge is undoubtedly the gem in Uganda's crown of tourism destinations. The breathtaking panoramic views, coupled with the sounds of the River Nile's magnificent rapids, sets the scene for an adventure that will impress even the most discerning of visitors.
Chobe Safari Lodge offers a unique opportunity to sample the wildlife, birds, flora and fauna; all in an area of the park that has yet to be discovered. This area of Murchison Falls National Park is ideal for fishing, and will revive this newly refurbished lodge to become one of the best fishing destinations in Africa.
