Europe meets Africa at Halloween......

Afro meets Euro goes to africa.......

going back to our roots.....

Donna & Lucy.........

Happy halloween to you all! It is halloween season once again and all around us are the witches, vampires and creepy blood hungry monsters:-)Hey but this time around our halloween journey takes us to a land far, far, away in africa........
Halloween in Africa - can you imagine this? Well, to be honest when we were still back home in africa, halloween was something we only read about or saw in the movies. It did not really play a role in our african society but with the years and also the dawn of the internet and now the facebook era, things have rapidly changed over the years. Lots of trends from europe and especially america are now house-hold names in the african society. Today, we will be travelling back to africa, to Uganda to be precise, where we are going to celebrate Halloween in an Afro meets Euro style. Since we cannot make it personally to Uganda for this celebration, we needed someone down there reporting for us. There is no better person for this task as our own friend and insider in the Afro-Euro community in Kampala-Uganda (Emilly Kiracho). Emilly will be keeping us updated in the future with all the juicy happenings in good old Kampala city. It is a great pleasure for us to have her collaborate with us. Ladies and Gents please meet our special reporter from Kampala Uganda, Emilly Kiracho:

A special report from Kampala Uganda.

Emilly.......

Hi, am Emilly Kiracho very Ugandan and loving this nation. We go to school so much that am not telling you my academic credentials, they are enough to scare away everyone. I have always had a passion for literature and fun, fun fun. I am going to introduce to my Uganda; the fun part, whenever you want to visit and have the time of your life dont be afraid just call me and let the fun begin!

Yes Happy Halloween! The celebrations were so epic with people of all walks donning costumes and doing all sorts of Crazy things!. The place to be was Boda Boda, a wonderful African themed restaurant in the heart of Kampala at Garden City Roof Top. With the pumpkins scary MC and gifts to be won! Some costumes were quite hilarious like the Fat woman/man in a swimming costume and the priest in a haunted house, with a Bible and all. Drinks were all out and the music would make even the worst dancer swing a lil bit! Talent Africa put on a show that rivaled any other in Uganda and i say Yes Boda Boda gets the Prize for best Halloween party! The usual bar hopping was done with everyone of the opinion that Boda Boda had been it for the night!!!!!
